Feitoria Restaurant

Feitoria Restaurant is located in the upmarket Altis Belem Hotel & Spa in Lisbon, Portugal. This is one of the most sophisticated restaurants in Lisbon and is far from being an average hotel eatery. Indeed the Feitoria Restaurant possesses a Michelin Star, and a much deserved one at that.

The ethos of Feitoria Restaurant is to combine authentic traditional flavours with the finest natural ingredients to create memorable contemporary gastronomy of the highest order. The chef has certainly succeeded in his aims.

There is a strong emphasis on using local ingredients and those sourced from throughout Portugal rather than further afield, embracing everything that the country has to offer.

A new menu is produced and introduced to an avid public twice each year, inviting you on a seasonal ‘sensorial voyage, navigating from the flavours and aromas of traditional Portuguese cuisine to some of the spiciest and most exotic in the world’.

Most diners at this restaurant in Lisbon opt for one of the tasting menus, which are perfect for sampling as many of Feitoria’s delights as possible in one sitting. A typical tasting menu includes seared crayfish with white asparagus and oyster caviar or scallop tartar, beets and fresh strawberry salad to start.

The fish course may be grilled golden sea bream with organic tomatoes and fresh oregano or red mullet and blue lobster with textures of green peas and smoked sausage.

Meat dishes include roasted pigeon with honey and lavender, figs and stuffed mushrooms or veal loin with potato and almond cromesquis, foie gras and creamed parsley. For dessert, sample the delights of a traditional custard tart with lime cream and cinnamon ice cream or simply opt for the legendary Portuguese cheese plate.

The waiting staff will delight in helping you choose the best wines for your meal, offering a variety of vintages from all over Portugal and beyond. Neither food nor drink comes cheap, but then quality of this kind rarely does.

The location of Feitoria Restaurant is second to none and the décor makes the perfect backdrop for enjoying a memorable meal at this restaurant in Lisbon.

Bright, sophisticated and comfortable, expect to find a dining room that is ablaze with burnt orange tones, browns and blacks with heavy wooden floors, all set off to perfection by the crisp white linen that adorns the tables.

Opening hours are from 7.30pm to 11pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
